We are our ancestors’ wildest dreams. The opening of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago reminded us a dream that began on the South Side now stands as a living testament to possibility and the power of believing in something bigger than yourself. And while the Center celebrates history, Michelle Obama made sure we remembered the people who helped shape it. For opening night, she wore a custom Acne Studios look featuring a portrait of her late mother, Marian Robinson, printed on the skirt, created in collaboration with her longtime stylist Meredith Koop.
