What a way to spend my mom’s heavenly birthday! Shoutout to Nzingha nzinghamaat.lpc of Ma’at Integrative Wellness, a Black-owned wellness center in Philadelphia, for inviting me as a VIP guest to her Full Moon Sound Bath experience. As a licensed therapist and wellness practitioner, she has created a beautiful space for healing, reflection, and community. I honestly didn’t know what to expect, but whatever was supposed to happen last night, happened. There were moments of release, reflection, emotion, and peace. I laughed, I cried, and I left feeling lighter than when I arrived. I also brought along two crystals I recently purchased while in Fort Lauderdale. A crescent moon crystal and a heart-shaped amethyst. Once I settled into my pod, I placed the crescent moon on my forehead and the amethyst over my heart.
