runner’s strength workout !!
these are all great strength exercises for anyone, but I especially love them for runners because they focus on single-leg strength, stability, balance, power, and core control which all carry over directly to running !!
most of running happens on one leg at a time, so I love incorporating unilateral exercises like these to help build strength & stay healthy throughout training.

do 3 rounds of each circuit before moving on!!

goblet squat x 10
alt. reverse lunges x 10 each side
elevated calf raises x 20

lateral lunges x 10 each side
single-leg RDL + knee drive x 10 each
step-up + knee drive x 10 each
— 3
bear plank pull through x 10 each
dead bugs x 10 each
in & outs x 15
DB glute bridges x 15
strength training doesn’t have to be crazzzy or complicated. a few simple movements done consistently can go a long way toward making you a stronger runner, whether you’re training for your first 5k or your next marathon!!
