There is something that changes in you when you see your father become frail. The man who once protected you, carried you, and made you feel safe suddenly needs care himself. No matter how old you are, that moment does something to your heart. My father sacrificed so much for me. He helped give me a chance at life and a future I couldn’t yet see. So being able to stand beside him in one of his most vulnerable moments felt deeply emotional, but also deeply meaningful. This video holds two very different moments. In one, I’m being held by my father. In the other, I’m beside him while he is unwell. So much changed between those two moments, but love remained.
