On June 17, 2026, at approximately 3:42 p.m., Thousand Oaks Patrol Deputies responded to a call for service of a male subject who entered a multi-story office building while armed with several firearms. Several community members called Sheriff’s Dispatch advising they had seen the subject enter an elevator within the building and go to an unknown floor. Thousand Oaks Patrol deputies quickly responded to the location and secured the building, blocking it off to the public while law enforcement conducted an extensive search for the suspect. A VCAlert, out of an abundance of caution, was disseminated to the surrounding area for the public to shelter in place for safety during the search. Sheriff’s Investigators identified (A) Tyler Robb and determined he was conducting personal business inside the building.
