The announcement that one of my favorite movies has been remade is a great excuse to post these pics from my trip to the South of France last year! The lavender fields there will be in full bloom soon, so in case you missed my previous posts, here are my tips for visiting [SAVE + SHARE]:
1. The lavender fields in bloom every year from around the last week of June to the middle of August in the this region (which is known as Provence).
2. There are many lavender fields in the region including in Pays de Sault, Luberon, DrĂŽme Provençale, and Manosque. However, many people say that the Valensole Plateau (where Iâm at in the photos) is the absolute best spot.
3. To get here from abroad it's easiest to fly into the neighboring city of Marseille then rent a car to make the 60 min drive to where the fields start.
