🇲🇲 Back to Yangon week 1: Guess what? I was born in Myanmar, and my parents were also born here and grew up in Yangon. As a local Burmese Asian, I have been speaking Burmese mixed with Chinese Mandarin together since I was young. It is a weird way to communicate with my family, but it is unique. The last time I said I was from Myanmar, no one believed me, which I think is reasonable because of how I look. So every time I talk to local people, I have to say "Mingalaba" first to confirm that I can really speak Burmese. #yangon #myanmar #burmese #asian
