‘Rachel Kneebone seems to have swept and stacked all of Luke Lightfoot’s rococo flourishes into her delicate porcelain sculptures, piling them almost to the point of collapse.’ – Susanna Greeves
Watch as curator Susanna Greeves (susannagreeves ) reflects on Rachel Kneebone’s work in White Cube’s exhibition at Claydon.
Installed within Claydon House's historic interiors, Rachel's works enter into dialogue with the lavish woodwork of the North Hall, designed under the unbridled creative direction of virtuoso carver Luke Lightfoot.
Testing the limits of porcelain, Rachel's sculptures are characterised by exuberant excess and a sense of movement, their forms emerging and dissolving into undulating masses of modelled clay.
📍 ‘White Cube at Claydon’ is on view until 14 September 2026 at Claydon House, Buckinghamshire.
