The goal isn’t to eliminate the feeling, it’s to limit the situations where it shows up.
I am gonna get sh#7 for this from someone I am sure, but its the truth so I will say it.
Resource guarding rarely goes away completely.
But you can manage it, you can work around it, and you can still have a great dog.
