Today marks the last day of classes for Alachua County Public Schools, and while school may be out for summer, the work to continuously improve the learning spaces in our community’s schools never stops. The redesign and redevelopment of Idylwild Elementary School is a great example of that work in action!
During this project, our team replaced five demolished buildings with a new 79,000-square-foot facility featuring:
📚 classrooms
🍽️ an auditorium/cafeteria
🧑🍳 a kitchen
🔌 the main electrical room
🏫 & more!
We also renovated existing spaces and added a canopy system connecting the campus, along with new parking, a parent drop-off loop, and a bus loop.
Supporting schools in our community means creating spaces where learning and growth happen every day, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to do so.
