Waymo just made a massive $220 million move in Arizona. The company behind the driverless cars all over Phoenix purchased a 5,458-acre vehicle testing facility near Wittmann, just northwest of the Valley. The site was previously used by Chrysler and later Apple for vehicle testing before Waymo bought it. Now, one of the biggest self-driving car companies in the country has a massive Arizona test track to develop the next generation of autonomous vehicles before they hit the road.
