Arizona troopers stopped a driver near Payson after spotting a trailer riding on its bare rims. According to AZDPS, the driver had experienced tire problems a few miles earlier and was trying to make it into town for a replacement, but didn’t realize the trailer was already riding directly on the rims. Troopers issued a citation for operating an unsafe vehicle. Officials also noted that with current fire restrictions in place, sparks from metal scraping the roadway could have potentially started a wildfire. Luckily, no fires were reported.
