Arizona has officially reached the “booking hotels for a gas station” stage 😭 The first Buc-ee’s in Arizona opens Monday, June 22 in Goodyear at I-10 and Bullard Ave, and the hype is already getting out of control. Officials are expecting 50,000–75,000 vehicles, some nearby hotels are already sold out or filling up, and the parking lot is expected to open at midnight before doors open at 6AM. Goodyear has also created a 6.5-mile traffic route for opening day, with drivers being warned to expect long waits, major congestion, and traffic that could stop completely at times.
