A cargo theft crew may be behind multiple high-value heists across northern Arizona.
Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office says investigators are looking into a group tied to organized cargo theft after an 18-wheeler carrying expensive tech from California was hit at a truck stop in Ash Fork.
Officials say the drivers briefly went inside the store, and within about 11 minutes, thieves allegedly broke into the trailer and stole up to $175,000 worth of merchandise.
Investigators also believe the same crew may be connected to a separate train burglary involving shoes, electronics, and clothing days later.
The investigation remains ongoing.
