A jaguar has been spotted again in Southern Arizona — and researchers say this isn’t some random one-time sighting. 🐆 The big cat, known as “Cinco,” was recently captured on remote cameras operated by the University of Arizona Wild Cat Research & Conservation Center in the Sky Islands region south of Tucson. Researchers say Cinco is one of only a handful of jaguars documented in Arizona over the past 15 years. What makes this even more interesting is that Cinco keeps coming back. According to the Wild Cat Center, the jaguar was first detected in late 2025 and has since been recorded numerous times across Southern Arizona, showing that he’s actively using the region rather than simply passing through.
