What’s your Vert? 💥
We used a bunch of differing rep schemes, exercises, tempos, but the biggest thing that builds a big vert is consistency. A good vert is built off technique, as well as how much force and how quickly you can produce it relative to your body weight.
At 301_performance we consistently have our athletes sprint, jump, and do all kinds of plyometric and competitive drills. All of this pushes an athlete to drive intent which yields the greatest training results. At the end of the day, if you are not pushing strength on your back squat, front squat, single leg squat, doing some sort of explosive lower body movement such as a clean or trap bar jump, sprinting at least twice per week and incorporating max effort jumps as as well as extensive and intensive plyometrics, you are leaving meat on the bone.
Here’s my man _wyattgearhart hitting an absolutely insane 41.0” standing vert (with straight legs on the landing for the haters)
