Three Jewish families shared the same extraordinary story of survival. In each, a young woman was sent to Auschwitz in 1944, forced to work as a slave laborer in Germany, and then gave birth while a prisoner of the Nazis. In May 2010, those three “babies,” then 65 years old, met for the first time. “We spent the whole of the Saturday in one café talking, laughing, and crying, and talking about our mothers, and comparing and contrasting their three stories,” says Eva Clarke. “We were all incredulous, absolutely incredulous.” #holocaust #WWII #holocaustsurvivor #WorldWarII
