It truly takes a village to grow the game. What started as a Toronto District School Board lacrosse festival with just 6 schools has grown to 16 schools in only its third year. The growth we’ve seen is a testament to the passion and commitment of educators, administrators, community leaders, and volunteers who believe in the power of Canada’s National Summer Sport. One thing remains consistent: every time students are given the opportunity to experience lacrosse, they fall in love with it. The excitement, teamwork, culture, and connection that the game creates are unlike anything else. The day was made even more special through a beautiful opening ceremony led by Thunder Jack, including a Grand Entry and smudging for all participants. It was a powerful reminder that lacrosse is more than a game—it is a gift, a teacher, and an important part of our shared history.
