#423 of Dave Tate’s Table Talk Podcast, Dave sits down with Matt Levine.
Matt Levine is the USPA Director of Education, a strength coach with 20+ years in the fitness industry, a competitive powerlifter, and the Managing Partner of Legacy Barbell in Clearwater, Florida. He tore his ACL ten days before his first Olympia appearance and competed anyway.
Across his career, he has sustained five ACL tears, ruptured both biceps, had seven concussions, herniated every disc from L3 to S1, and fractured a vertebra in his cervical spine. He says his entire coaching philosophy was built from navigating all of it.
He also convinced a city government to install a powerlifting monolift in a public recreation center, hosted Raw Unity VII through his Port St. Lucie team, and is now building USPA University while opening his second gym location and raising a new daughter. We covered all of it.
