Last week I posted a trial reel that hasn’t even been posted on my main page yet , about looking one way but being mixed heritage. The response has been incredible and it’s thrown up some very interesting conversations.. And it got me thinking. Mixed heritage people are one of the fastest-growing groups in the UK. And yet in such a divided world right now, we don’t really hear from us much — together, as a community, about what this actually gives us. Because yes, there are challenges. But there are also genuine gifts. Things both sides of where I come from have taught me — and what being both has taught me that neither side could alone. As one of the fastest-growing groups in this country, I think we deserve a bigger voice. So I’d love to know — If you’re mixed heritage (or even second generation) — what’s the lesson that stuck with you?
