#WhyILoveChiO from samj0nez 🤍 “All of my life I’ve worn a jersey. I represented something bigger than myself when I played softball growing up. The team logo on the front meant so much more than my number on the back. When I decided to not play college softball, I knew I needed a group of people to keep me accountable, driven, and encouraged. Running home on bid day and throwing the Chi O jersey on meant so much to me. It represented everything the women before me did and it inspired me to make a difference for the women after me. I love Chi O not only for the friendships it has given me, but for what the organization stands for. The Chi Omega symphony is everything I hope to be as a woman. I love the whole symphony but one of my favorite lines is “democratic rather than ‘exclusive,’ and lovable rather than ‘popular’; to work earnestly, to speak kindly, to act sincerely, to be womanly always; to be discouraged never.” This is what being a Chi O is all about.
