Junior Chandler Noordhoff is spending her summer in Taiwan! — “What an incredible summer it has been! I was offered the opportunity to observe in the Craniofacial Department of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, one of the largest hospitals in the world. I spend my days in the operating room, watching surgery and learning from doctors and residents from around the world. I spend my evenings and weekends exploring the island my grandparents called home for 40 years. Taiwan has so much to offer – mountains, beaches, city life, and amazing art! I am soaking in the culture and seeing as much as possible in my free time. This summer has opened my eyes to possibilities and strengthened my resolve to achieve a career in medicine.
