I loved meeting new people, but more importantly, finding a place where I felt I could truly grow and be surrounded by the right sisterhood during my years at Alabama. I was nervous it wouldn’t be clear where I belonged, but the moment I walked into Kappa during philanthropy, I just knew. The energy, support, and genuine love the older girls had for each other was exactly what I was looking for. On bid day, I didn’t recognize many faces at first, but I quickly became close with the girls in my pledge class, who have now become some of my best friends. I’ve watched my friends constantly build each other up, push one another to be their best selves, and always put others first. I feel like I have known these girls forever, even though I met them just a few months ago! Being surrounded by people like that is what has made Kappa such a special part of my life.
