WKW🦋 Meet Mary Kathryn! “Being from in state, I had always known rush would be intimidating and that there would be pressure. I am from Auburn, Alabama, so not many people from my hometown attend the University of Alabama. However, I knew I would see some familiar faces - having that cushion to lean on during rush week was a relief! Going into rush week, I knew I wanted to make my own decision. With all the stress that rush week brings, the moment I walked into the Kappa house I knew that Kappa was where I needed to be. The second I left Kappa after Philanthropy Round, I knew I had to call my mom and tell her all about it. She encouraged me throughout rush week to be myself and that where I was myself the most was where I needed to be! I never really thought much about what she meant by that until the moment I walked into Kappa. Everytime I went into Kappa, I knew I could be myself, and I never felt any type of pressure.
