However, every time I went to the Kappa house, I left with the biggest smile. I knew I didn’t know as many girls in there at kappa, but that’s what made it so exciting. I felt wanted by everyone and counted down the minutes until I could go back again! On pref night, I remember asking if Kappa would help me find ways to get involved on campus. After bid day, I was immediately texted by older girls with options of programs to join. With the help of a friend in Kappa, who gave me advice and scenarios to practice with for the interview, I was accepted into First Year Council. FYC is an SGA program specifically for freshman that helps them advance the campus while also getting mentored by older figures. Without the sisterhood of Kappa, I would not have been equipped to apply and even to be accepted into such a prestigious org...
