Uganda’s director of public health, Dr. Daniel Kyabayinze, says this is “a war” and supplies need to be replenished.
While Uganda’s top health officials are optimistic the country has stopped a surge in Ebola — with no new cases reported in the past 11 days — cases in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west have surged to nearly 800 confirmed cases.
Dr. Kyabayinze tells CBS News foreign correspondent
@ramyinocencio that supplies of the chemical compounds — known as testing reagents — needed to identify the Bundibugyo strain of Ebola are running particularly low.
