Dad x Elikai Duty ☑️ For the last three weeks, lydiaagradyy has been coaching soccer at Vanderbilt with our two oldest boys for their summer camp. Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM For 15 days, your boy was on dad mode with our youngest son, Elikai. This was a CHALLENGE. Like all challenges, there were obstacles. Trying to work while Kai needed my attention, learning to understand his signals, what he’s wanting when he can’t voice it, making myself available to him even when I didn’t really want to, or felt like there were more pressing matters that needed my focus. Like all challenges, there was plenty of fruit to be had. Elikai and I have grown much closer. I have grown in understanding of the blessing that children are. I have come to understand more of God’s perspective as He takes care of us. My adoration and admiration for my wife, as well as all the other “stay at home” parents, has increased tremendously.
