In 2017, they co-founded NEWFcommunity (Nature, Environment and Wildlife Filmmakers), which offers professional development, capacity building, mentorship and networking opportunities to African filmmakers and storytellers. Through the Africa Refocused program, supported by the National Geographic Society, they hope to remove barriers to entry, enable access, foster inclusion and create a culture of equity for African storytellers across the entire continent.
