Story Book 702: 🧡 PARAMAHANSA YOGANANDA (1893–1952)
The monk who introduced millions of people to meditation, Kriya Yoga, and the science of self-realization.
Born on 5 January 1893 in Gorakhpur, India, as Mukunda Lal Ghosh, Yogananda showed a deep spiritual longing from childhood.
While most children dreamed about worldly success, Mukunda searched for something greater:
✨ The direct experience of God.
At the age of 17, he met his guru, Sri Yukteswar Giri, a meeting that transformed his life forever.
Under his guru’s guidance, he mastered meditation, discipline, and the ancient science of Kriya Yoga.
🌍 In 1920, he traveled to America.
