Xiaomi’s YU7 GT completed an official 10:29.483 lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife entirely without a driver behind the wheel, becoming the benchmark for autonomous vehicles on one of the world’s most challenging race tracks. The run was completed using Xiaomi’s advanced autonomous driving technology, successfully navigating all 73 corners of the 20.8 km (12.9-mile) circuit on its own. While the autonomous lap was significantly slower than the YU7 GT’s human-driven performance, the achievement was more about proving capability, safety, and consistency than outright speed.
