Deep in the woods 🏆 • huskertfxc • Nebraska Track & Field competed at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships last weekend iconic Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. The Husker Men and Women had a historic weekend, the men finishing 9th and the women finishing 8th. Until last weekend, it had been 23 years since both finished in the top ten at outdoor nationals. A historic weekend brings the individual performances. On the women’s side, Axelina Johansson brought home her fourth and final shot put title, throwing just .9 off the NCAA record. A legendary Husker career. In high jump, Karsyn Leeling and Ela Velepec shined with double PR’s, both jumping 1.90m and tying for 4th in the nation. The men racked up All-American honors throughout the week, earning big points in shot put and javelin specifically.
