There’s a new river dragon sculpture in Portland.
This is the latest public artwork by artist Ivan McLean - and it has the beautiful St. Johns Bridge as its backdrop.
Willie the River Dragon is named in honor of Human Access Project’s founder Willie Levenson.
A special ribbon cutting celebration is set for June 20 from 1pm-4pm.
The festivities include a 2pm parade to Cathedral Park Beach led by the Last Regiment of Syncopated Drummers and celebratory swim with music from PopCartPDX and DJ Carlos.
