Russian President Vladimir Putin toured the historic centre of Kazan on Wednesday alongside Tatarstan Governor Rustam Minnikhanov ahead of the Russia-ASEAN Forum.
Footage shows Putin visiting landmarks including the Kazan Kremlin, the Annunciation Cathedral and the Kul Sharif Mosque, as well as stopping to exchange a few words with tourists.
Putin is in Kazan for the three-day Russia-ASEAN Forum, taking place from June 17-19, which is expected to bring together foreign delegations and thousands of participants.
Officials say the city will host 13 foreign delegations and around 28,500 people connected to the event, including journalists, translators, technical staff and security personnel.
