🚩 RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT 🚩 Critical fire weather is forecast for portions of Northern and Eastern California as thunderstorms move across the region. Red Flag Warnings are in effect for parts of Alpine, Mono, Lassen, Siskiyou and Modoc counties, with timing varying by area through Friday evening. Thunderstorms may produce dry lightning and erratic outflow winds. Lightning can spark new fires, while gusty winds can cause fires to spread quickly. Avoid activities that can ignite dry vegetation, including mowing dry grass, dragging tow chains, target shooting and campfires.
