Day 7/8 of the first and hardest multi day trek of my life… Terror took a new form on day 7 as we changed our original route plan to avoid hiking a pass that honestly looked f*cked. What we ended up hiking was probably worse all in all. Another brutal climb. Another mental breakdown. There was still a serious amount of snow on the other side of our pass followed by loose scree/moraine on a steep slope (covered in snow melt) all the way to the valley. We were quite literally taking it one step at a time. Making up for this was indeed the fantastic views of the peaks, all of which were up to and over 6000m tall. This mountain range truly is raw, impressive, and sublime. Maybe you should check it out (if you have the guts for it)… ALSO so I skipped posting about day 5 + 6 as it just involved a hike out and back in since we needed to do a restock of food.
