The Orioles had chances all night… and still couldn’t finish.
Baltimore falls 6-5 in extra innings to the Mariners, despite multiple late-game pushes and finally breaking through with a clutch hit. Leody Taveras delivers an RBI single in the 10th — the Orioles’ ONLY hit with runners in scoring position all night.
They finish 1-for-11 with RISP and leave 10 men on base.
That’s the game.
Coby Mayo brought them back with a 9th inning homer. Samuel Basallo helped force extras. The opportunities were there over and over again — but the Orioles just couldn’t deliver when it mattered most.
And then in the 10th, it slips away.
Another loss. Another game that felt winnable. Another example of a team that is close… but not executing in the biggest moments.
Luke Slabaugh breaks it all down on the Orioles Postcast — the moments that defined this one, what’s going wrong situationally, and why this stretch feels so frustrating.
