In a series of posts on X, the billionaire entrepreneur and Cost Plus Drugs co-founder called health insurance premiums "the one debt you can't ever pay off," writing that consumers "literally will pay an insurance premium monthly, till you die." His alternative: redirect the money currently spent on monthly insurance premiums into a specially structured, restricted-use medical bank account that the consumer controls. Cuban used the example of a family of five spending roughly $2,100 per month comparable to an Affordable Care Act Silver plan broken down into three categories.
