Intel Corporation (NASDAQ: INTC) shares are surging after President Donald Trump said in a Truth Social post that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) has agreed to work with Intel to design and build chips in the United States. In the same post, Trump reiterated that Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ: NVDA) had agreed to manufacture chips with Intel and highlighted plans for a large semiconductor facility involving Elon Musk's TerraFab project. The Wall Street Journal reported in May that Intel and Apple had reached a preliminary agreement to manufacture chips for Apple devices after more than a year of talks. Neither Apple nor Intel has formally confirmed a finalized deal. Trump also claimed that the U.S. government received a 10% stake in Intel in exchange for assistance provided to the company.
