SpaceX hit the public market today and it is rewriting the rules of the space economy. Shares of SPCX have surged to around 175 dollars midday, roughly 30 percent above the 135 dollar IPO price, in the largest IPO in history at a 1.75 trillion dollar valuation. The rally is coming at the expense of nearly every other publicly traded space stock. AST SpaceMobile, Rocket Lab, Firefly Aerospace, Velo3D, EchoStar, and Voyager Technologies are all sharply lower as money rotates into Elon Musk's rocket giant. Seraphim Space CEO Mark Boggett says the debut establishes space as a mainstream investment category and a benchmark for the entire sector, comparing it to category-defining IPOs from Amazon and Tesla. With dedicated SpaceTech ETFs already emerging, venture capital is now scrambling to find the next generation of space winners.
