Aquatic plyometrics teach your muscles to stop fighting each other. Through reciprocal inhibition, the nervous system learns to contract one muscle and relax its opposite in rhythm — eliminating co-contraction that limits speed and range of motion. Water adds turbulence and resistance from every angle, sharpening timing, stabilizer control, and joint rhythm. Every rep becomes practice for firing at the right time and shutting off at the right time. This method — taught by candicemacmillan85 at Sport Science Lab — builds faster athletes with more efficiency and greater range of motion. And huge thanks to Matt and liz_gilroy for letting us use their absolutely stunning pool #ReciprocalInhibition #SportScienceLab #AquaticTraining #AthleteDevelopment #CandiceMcMillan
