The newly created Uptown Movie Club had its first meeting this week! On the third Wednesday of the month, the uptownmovieclub will meet for a movie at the ltlagooncinema in Minneapolis and then support local spots before and after. The group is organized by neighbors who want to build community, enjoy movies at the local theater and support small businesses in the area. The first movie was “The Baldies” which is a 2021 documentary exploring the multi-racial, anti-racist crew of teenagers who hung out in Uptown in the 1980s. The next club meeting is July 15!
