It's good business to be a national champion.
Indiana football is riding serious momentum into the upcoming season, prompting the program to expand its student section, per the Indy Star.
The Hoosiers completely sold out last year's allotment of student tickets which was capped at 11,000. According to the report, the university has already sold out that number so far this year.
A department spokesperson told the Indy Star that the Hoosiers “expect to sell between 4,000 and 5,000 more tickets to new students," which would bring the student section capacity to roughly 30% of the entire stadium.
The spokesperson said that number “compares favorably” to student sections at “football-centric schools like Alabama and Georgia.”
