A CHS Companions service group recently returned from a trip to Maine, where it served communities in need.   In the CHS Companions Program, juniors respond to the Ignatian call to service via immersion trips, where they are invited to grow through an experience of service to and solidarity with the marginalized. The students also reflected upon their experiences through discussion and journaling.  The group’s service included:  * assisting at Furniture Friends in Westbrook, which helps furnish homes for individuals transitioning out of homelessness;  * preparing meals and supporting operations at the St. Vincent de Paul Dining Room in downtown Portland; * stocking and organizing supplies at the Biddeford Pantry in Biddeford;  * cleaning and maintaining the outdoor spaces at St. Brigid School in Portland; * volunteered with Partners for World Health, an organization based in Portland that recovers and redistributes medical supplies worldwide; * working with Ha...
