When NASCAR staged its first-ever race at Naval Base Coronado last weekend in San Diego, Elon alumni Luke Johnson ‘22 and Aidan Blake ‘26 were on site capturing the action through photos and video. The inaugural race drew national attention and introduced the sport to new audiences, while Johnson and Blake helped document the milestone moment. Johnson recently joined The San Diego Union-Tribune as a photojournalist, and Blake – who graduated in May – is working as a digital content creator for Kaulig Racing.
