A group of children and a parent were rescued after becoming stranded on the Wave Twister ride at Adventureland in Farmingdale, New York. According to Suffolk County Police, the ride malfunctioned around 7:30 p.m. on June 19, leaving 15 children and one adult stuck approximately 25 feet above the ground. Emergency crews from multiple fire departments responded and spent nearly three hours safely evacuating all 16 riders. Officials said the youngest child on the ride was just 5 years old, while the remaining children ranged in age from 8 to 12. No injuries were reported.
