Kinzie McKinzie (Hansen), a four-time national champion at Oklahoma and AUSL professional athlete, is preparing to welcome a baby boy with plans to continue her professional softball career. Kinzie spoke with We Live Softball about pregnancy, professional softball, and the support she has received from the Oklahoma Spark and AUSL. “I’m most excited to showcase that you can be a great mom and a great athlete at the same time,” McKinzie said. Kinzie, who has also been involved with Team USA, said the growth of the professional game has taken on a deeper meaning as she prepares for motherhood. “My baby is my dream, and so is softball,” Hansen said. “So being able to show that not only to him, but to the world is so special.” She also credited the Spark and AUSL for their support during her pregnancy. “Playing with the Oklahoma City Spark, just the support I’ve been shown, not only by them, but the AUSL league [...] has been tremendous.” #welivesoftball #ausl #ou
