The Emmy, Grammy and Tony winner just revealed that in September 2025, a routine medical exam turned into a near-death emergency. An undiagnosed kidney stone triggered urosepsis. He was placed on advanced life support. He was clinically dead for three days.
Emergency surgeons had to cut both sides of his leg from knee to hip and leave it open for two days to prevent amputation from compartment syndrome that developed while he was in a coma.
