Today, we observe Juneteenth which marks a historic day in U.S. history. On June 19, 1865, two and half years after the Emancipation Proclamation, news of freedom finally reached the last group of enslaved people in Texas. The Invesco Black Professionals Network (IBPN) and Invesco Cares held various events and volunteer opportunities to commemorate the day. ▪️ In Houston, employees gathered for the fifth annual Juneteenth service event at Ronald McDonald House, where they helped serve warm breakfast for more than 80 families ▪️ In Atlanta, IBPN held the sixth annual children's book drive. Books purchased by Invesco employees were donated to local charities, including Ronald McDonald House Charities, City of Refuge, and the Atlanta Children’s Day Shelter. ▪️ In NYC and Atlanta, employees participated in puzzle activities and making bookmarks. All completed bookmarks were donated to the Ronald McDonald House. #LifeatInvesco
