Multiple law enforcement agencies are alerting the public of an armed suspect impersonating law enforcement in western North Carolina. The McDowell County Sheriff's Office said the suspicious traffic stop took place on June 15, near the Avery County line on U.S. 221 North near Linville Mountain.
