It’s a strange feeling when someone tells a story about your life and you realize you barely remember it. Entire chapters feel missing, while certain moments remain crystal clear. Healing has made me realize that forgetting wasn’t weakness. It was adaptation. My mind did what it thought it needed to do at the time.
